We're looking for two Java Developers to join this firmly established provider of intelligent Financial Market Analysis Software. These software tools are used by City institutions to dramatically enhance investment performance through market analytics and flagging predictive trends at the earliest opportunity. Although the company is based in Central London, they are happy to consider a significant degree of home-based working from pretty much anywhere in the South-East or Home Counties. This means the two Java Software Engineer / Java Software Developer positions offer the best of both Worlds -City pay but without the grind and expense of daily commuting!!!
The company places a great deal of emphasis on personal responsibility and initiative -giving you the freedom to organize your own ways of working. There is no middle management layer dictating how/where/when you do something -just a set of core values and practices that allow everyone to work with a high degree of autonomy, planning work and projects through mutual co-operation with colleagues.
Job title: Java Developer / Java Software Engineer
Vacancy location: Central London -or home based South-East/Home Counties
Salary: excellent & totally negotiable but probably circa £40-60k + benefits (and no commuting!)
Java Software Developer/ Java Software Engineer job requirements:
The people we're looking for might consider themselves Frontend or Backend Engineers but reality is you'll get on and do whatever needs doing to get the optimum solution. However, the key skills we're looking for are:
* TDD, BDD or Test Automation.
* Any experience of Domain modelling would be of particular interest.
* You must also be a solid advocate of Agile Development and the lean principles behind it -maybe you've been involved in XP - eXtreme Programming?
* Willingness to pair program.
These are fantastic opportunities for two seriously capable Java Developers to join a highly successful company offering excellent salaries, potential for long term career development and the freedom to do the job the way you think it should be done without being micro-managed on a daily basis! Couple that with central London salaries but the opportunity to work extensively from home and it really is a case of 'What's not to like'?
