Legal Cashier / Accounts Assistant
Our client is a leading specialist legal firm in York who have been established for over 15 years. Due to internal promotions, they are now looking to recruit a legal cashier / accounts assistant for their Finance department.
Supporting the whole business, this job is a pivotal role within the department working closely with the Finance Manager. You could be maintaining ledgers for all office and client accounts, control and payment of all supplier invoices as well as dealing with the banking and sending payments via BACS, direct debit and cheques etc.
You could also be dealing with the month end reporting and cash flow as well as assisting with VAT returns and bank reconciliations.
That’s why we are looking for someone who has previous experience in a similar finance role, preferably with an understanding or experience working to the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Someone who is fully computer literate with MS office and accountancy packages with good communication skills. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (these increase by one each year of service up to a maximum of 10), pension, death in service and a variety of other enhanced benefits.
