ENERGY REPORTING ANALYST - £24- £25k. Dependent on experience
My client is going through an exciting period of major growth and are an independent company specialising in flexible procurement strategies to deliver the maximum possible savings to their clients.
Based in the Manchester office, this is an overarching role which looks to facilitate an on-going change management process within the company. Development of cohesive and innovative customer reports will be a key aspect. Bridging the systems gap between differing departments will also be an essential aspect of the role, especially Bureau and Trading. Dealing with the more complex queries and developments will be required. Joining an established Reporting Analyst to increase departmental capacity. The ideal candidate MUST have utilities experience and advanced excel.

Job Description

*Applying numerical skills to analyse data, interpreting facts and figures presented in the form of statistical tables and diagrams, thinking critically and checking for errors.
*Develop bespoke reports both within and outside of the system, with a view to these being automated.
*Identifying and explaining any variance from targets
*Handling escalated queries of a complex nature.
*Providing analytical and insightful recommendations to team members
*Interpreting and managing data, and responding proactively
*Managing and resolving problems which arise, in a timely and professional manner
*Compiling customer relevant reports within tight timescales and with total accuracy and clarity
*Following operational processes and looking at ways of improving existing processes and bringing new ideas to both teams
*Identifying opportunities to support and develop the business

Role and Responsibilities

*Report existing scheduled reports
*Develop existing reporting suite
*Create new internal and external reports
*Act as business analyst on IT system development
*Assist in ad-hoc complex projects
*Liaise with customers when clarity on reports is required

Qualifications & Skills

*Graduate degree
*Programming skills
*Able to cope with conflicting demands and to prioritise tasks
*Energy sector market experience
*A sound mathematical aptitude
*Modelling capabilities preferable
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Good personal and client management
*Proven track record of delivering and working under pressure
*Able to work as a part of a team, contributing and sharing best practices, knowledge, resources and ideas
*Excellent numerical skills; capable of interpreting information to compile informative and accurate reporting
*Ability to interpret contractual information and communicate it effectively to customers and colleagues
*Flexible and adaptable attitude


Dependent on experience

22 holidays per year, increasing 1 day a year to a maximum of 25 days per year. 3 days to be mandatory taken at the Christmas shut down or as per the number of working days falling between Christmas and New Year.
