About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing new IT solutions and document design of existing solutions in line with architectural blueprint. They will also be responsible for creating high quality documentation related to projects, change requests, historical and new applications, and DR plans.
Additionally the role will contribute to the implementation of projects and change requests, taking a technical lead role where appropriate, whilst also assisting in the solutions architecture of new solutions both inside and outside the bid process and providing cover for the lead Solutions Architect when required.

What you will do:
Design and document technical solutions for implementation across HR Solutions.
Document all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.
Develop and execute the processes and procedures required to ensure successful delivery of new and existing services.
Produce logical system designs showing for example: processes, objects, data flows, inputs, stored data and outputs. Identifying common processes.
Liaise with external suppliers and contractors as required, ensuring effective delivery of projects.
Update or provide input to cost benefit analyses, risk analyses and development plans to take account of design decisions.
To provide cover for and support to Solutions Architects when required by working closely with the bid team in a Solutions Architecture capacity, reviewing bid documentation and participating in bid meetings.
To ensure all architecture and design documentation produced is submitted through the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Support and Transition Board (STB) process at the relevant times during a project.
Your experience will include:
Demonstrable experience in leading IT work streams within wider business projects, demonstrating that deliverables were within agreed costs, timescales and quality.
Able to demonstrate an understanding of wide range of application and infrastructure technologies. Examples of which are included below, ordered by priority:
General experience of some form of HR & Payroll software (EG Northgate ResourceLink, Midland iTrent, Core HR, etc..)
Oracle Service Cloud/Right Now (Desirable)
General experience of Customer Relationship Management technologies (such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Atlassian Jira)
Business Process Management systems (such as eNate eNable)
Telephony and IVR (Desirable)
Microsoft SQL Server
Able to produce high quality design and change request documentation when under pressure from customers.
