My large South East based client is looking for a Senior Fundraiser in South East London

Overall Aim

  • To inform, develop and deliver Statutory Fundraising strategy
  • To work with the fundraising team to deliver Fundraising strategy
  • To work alongside a team of fundraisers to raise fundraising target income per annum from the Big Lottery Fund, Children In Need, and other key Trusts and Foundations, to enhance and diversify current activities in both existing and new local authority areas
  • To take the lead with bids £100K+ and work with the Fundraising Officer on small applications

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

  • To deliver the organisation`s Fundraising strategy with support and guidance from the Fundraising Manager and working with the Fundraising Officers
  • To deliver a proportion of the overall Fundraising Strategy and manage the grants pipeline, including some opportunities for new business that may require contributing to tenders for contracts
  • To keep abreast of fundraising activities of other relevant charities, identifying opportunities for collaboration or replication of service delivery
  • To keep abreast of trends across the charity, housing and care and support sectors, identifying opportunities and developing new and innovative service models

Developing and maintaining new income streams

  • To ensure community services are sustained and take necessary proactive action to submit renewals or seek alternative funding in enough time
  • To develop and write fundraising applications that sustain our current programmes
  • To manage the FR pipeline process, ensuring the team follow proper process to get sign off and communicate with all relevant operational and other colleagues
  • To track the status of all proposals in the pipeline
  • To ensure all fundraising strategy is driven by operational need
  • To research sources of income to fund the project pipeline
  • To prepare, cost, write, present and monitor all grant applications from Trusts, Foundations and BIG Lottery, seeking support and guidance as needed
  • To support the Fundraising Manager in identifying and applying for new business tender opportunities and coordinate our responses
  • To contribute to opportunities for statutory funding bids and tenders as required
  • To ensure the development and delivery of monitoring information back to funders for all trust and foundation fundraised activities
  • To build and develop good working relationships with key contacts, including senior staff in Trusts, Foundations, statutory funders and other key partners.
  • To develop strong working relationships with staff across the organisation, within Fundraising, Communications, all services and all other teams, to ensure efficient and successful project building and applications
  • To support the Corporate Partnerships Fundraising Officer to prepare presentations for pitches to potential new partners, and with campaigns as required

General

  • To act in accordance with the aims and promote and implement Equal Opportunities Policy and other polices adopted by the Board
  • To carry out any other duties as directed by the Fundraising Manager, Directors, Chief Executive or Board
