JustOT are looking to recruit an experienced occupational therapist for a person-centred inpatient rehabilitation based in South East London. You'll be working from a specialist centre for the care of male and female adolescents and adults (>17 years) with a brain injury or other complex neurological conditions you'll be working with a full MDT team for provide an exception OT service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in a neurological setting and wants to continue developing their skills in a specialist rehabilitation environment.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist (Band 7 Equivalent) working in our Specialist Brain Injury and Neurological Care Service your main duties will be:

*To work as part of multidisciplinary team for service users with complex acquired neurological impairments within an inpatient intensive rehabilitation setting
*To provide highly specialised assessment and treatment for patients with complex neurological condition
*To support OT lead in departmental and service development projects
*To deputise for OT lead in their absence
*To undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard using evidence based practice
*To be responsible for supervision, education and assessment of Senior II Occupational therapists, rehabilitation technicians, volunteers and students
*To take a central role in develop projects, audits teams clinical practice
*To take a lead role in in-service trainings
*To be able to work as a named therapist

You should be registered with the HCPC and have a qualification in Occupational Therapy. You should haveproven post-graduate experience including previous experience within a neurological rehabilitation setting as well as successfully completed relevant specialist short courses. Additionally you must have experience of working with adults with acquired neurological disorders, experience of supervising junior staff, and experience organising and delivering therapy in group settings.
