Graduate teaching assistant - Burnley - Year 4 class
Do you have ambitions of becoming a primary school teacher? Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a large primary school in Burnley, that have 2 positions for teaching assistants, to work in their support staff team in the new academic year. As a graduate teaching assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other members of the support staff team to provide pupils with a great level of support and opportunity to further understand their subject and confidence within lessons. Previous experience as a teaching assistant is desirable, however graduates with a strong academic record and a passion for working with children will be considered, highlights of this position include;
- Full time position starting September 2018 - July 2019
- Apprentice scheme, graduate pay. £9 - 10.50 per hour.

Desirable courses include BA Hons - Children Schools and Families, BA Hons - Education and Early Years, BA Hons - Psychology, BA Hons - Counselling, BA Hons - English, BA Hons - Mathematics and BA Hons in Sports Coaching.
Situated in the Burnley area of Lancashire, this is a full time position working as a teaching assistant within a large team. You will report directly to the school's SENCO/support staff lead, being involved in lessons and taking responsibility for your own groups of children. A degree in a subject related to schools would be ideal, however the school are happy to consider graduates with experience working with children and the commitment to making a difference.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
