As a result of our growth, we seek a talented Solicitor to join us on a permanent basis to oversee the Company’s business development strategy and to support the Company’s operations in the provision of debt recovery, landlord & tenant and general litigation.

This role will focus on the delivery and expansion of current and new business whilst managing your own caseload. It is important that the successful applicant is highly motivated and has excellent academics and commercial experience. You should be a team player able to work effectively with all colleagues. You should be proactive and capable of working autonomously and using your own initiative.

Main Duties & Responsibilities will include:

  • Implementation and oversight of the firm’s business development strategy

  • Identification of potential areas of new business and expansion of existing revenue streams

  • Preparation of tender submissions

  • Oversight of litigation teams and conduct of litigation

  • Attendance at hearings as an advocate

  • Providing weekly and monthly reports to Managing Solicitor and Board of Directors

  • Deputising as COLPDeputising for Managing Solicitor as and when required

Skills & Experience Required will include:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of successful business development

  • Knowledge and experience of debt litigation and landlord & tenant.

  • Ability to critically analyse and interpret diverse information

  • Excellent standard of written English, including grammar, punctuation and spelling

  • Ability to interact positively with clients, colleagues and the general public

  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Computer literate with proficient keyboard skills

  • Proactive outlook in the course of work, with an ability to make recommendations as to optimum processes, procedures and practice

  • Good commercial understanding, with ambition to build the reputation and work of the department
