We are a fast growing Outsourced IT company based in East London seeking a strong 2nd/ 3rd Line IT Support Technician to join our busy team.

We have been operating for 12 years and have seen impressive growth throughout this period, and have recently moved into the booming IT Cloud markets, whilst continuing to strengthen our traditional IT services; IT Help Desk and IT Projects. A small business ethos is applied where it is understood every employee’s contribution is critical to the continued success of the business, and importantly everyone’s contribution is recognised.

We act as a virtual IT Department to over 300 commercial clients of all different industries, which makes working in our company interesting and a great environment to learn new skills and develop further. This is a fast paced environment working a like-minded and dynamic group of IT professionals.

Job Role

To provide efficient 2nd/3rd line IT technical support, onsite and remote, keeping in line with our SLA’s. This will involve:

- Taking calls and logging them on our management system

- Provide 2nd/3rd line IT technical support to ensure the issue is resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible

- 2nd/3rd line project works

- Adapting to the clients individual processes and procedures

- Regular travel across London via tube or company vehicle


- Proven experience working within a similar role, including experience of the following skills:

  • Server 2012
  • Microsoft Office 2007/2010
  • Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010/2013
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop (Terminal) Services
  • Group Policy
  • Microsoft Active Directory: Administration
  • Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/8
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2
  • Firewall Implementation and Configuration
  • Mobile Device Configuration: iPhone, Android, Blackberry
  • Web Servers
  • SQL
  • Router Implementation and Configuration
  • Backup Configuration and Administration
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, Firewalls
  • Virtualization Technologies (Vmware/Hyper-v)
  • Experience with server troubleshooting and support
  • Hardware, including but not limited to PC's, Laptops and Printers
  • Networking: TCP/IP/WANs/LANs/VOIP

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

- An excellent skill for troubleshooting and dealing with both workstation and server end problems

- Ideally from an outsourced IT company environment

- Full UK driving license an advantage

Salary: £25,000 to £32,000 pa dependant on experience and immediate capability
