National Key Account Manager - Abrasives

£35k - £45k Basic + Bonus + Car + Bens

Home Based

Our client is a market leading manufacturer and distributor within the abrasives industry, part of a multinational group of companies with over 200,000 employees and turnover exceeding £5 billion. Due to an internal promotion from this role our client is now looking for an experienced sales professional to join their busy team.

The Role

  • Manage key accounts across the UK to increase spending and profitability
  • Identify new opportunities within new and existing accounts to generate sales
  • Deliver against KPI’s including revenue, profit etc.
  • Develop sales plan to focus on new business identification and rapport and relationship building
  • Devise and implement a clear price and margin guideline for key accounts

The Candidate

  • Proven track record of key account management or sales within distributor network, preferable in construction
  • Abrasives experience not essential, however is desirable
  • Excellent rapport building, networking and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with senior levels of a business
  • Willing to travel extensively
