Role objectives

The role holder will be a member of the Capture Solutions team within Customer Experience. The team is responsible for the implementation of technology into the Inbound operations which are based around the use of Captiva, platforms.

The holder will be expected to have sound knowledge of the operational capture environment, and will be required to support the operation from a technical perspective. The holder will also be required to support the delivery of change into the operation.Candidates will be required to demonstrate direct involvement and significant contribution to the transforming of scanning & document management processes in an organisation.Additionally, the role requires the holder to demonstrate good communication skills, with an ability to communicate technical topics to individuals at different technical levels.

A track record of the required experience demonstrated on a real production platform or system is a must, as are a “can-do” attitude and an ability to effectively work with multi-disciplinary, internal and external distributed teams across the project life cycle.



Key accountabilities

• Assist in the gathering of IT requirements on the Business from customers and projects.
• Ensure that IT solutions delivered are fit for purpose, and meet Production Operation requirements.
• Support the implementation of IT changes into the Production Operation.
• Assist in conducting route cause analysis investigations into production issues.
• Foster and drive a culture of innovation within own team, among peers and within Electronic Content Management.Key Capabilities, Knowledge Areas & Personal Attributes

Supporting and maintaining integrity of operational processes
• Understand the functional requirements of capture solutions.
• Contribute to the enhancement of capture solutions by supporting improvements that create capacity.
• Support the operation with knowledge sharing, and issue resolution.
• Ensure that quality of deliverable is maintained, and that the full test cycle is properly adhered to.



Experience

• Knowledge of the Document/Content Management technologies.
• Understanding of content storage (templates, policies, etc.).
• Assistance in the development of IT changes.
• Support the implementation and testing of IT changes into the Business.
• Assist in conducting route cause analysis investigations into production issues.
• Experienced in the mechanics of Imaging & Workflow functionality
• 4+ years of overall IT experience with some leadership skills
• 2+ years of experience using Imaging & Workflow and/or Content solutions

Qualifications

• Production system experience – has lived with the impact of software and system design decisions on manageability, supportability, troubleshooting.
• Ability to maintain existing components and frameworks to support the document lifecycle, and support/influence the design of component enhancement.
• Demonstrate and apply exemplary engineering skills and practices.
• A track record of the required experience demonstrated on a real production platform or system is a must, as are a “can-do” attitude and an ability to effectively work with multi-disciplinary, internal and external distributed teams.
• Foster and drive a culture of innovation within own team and among peers.
• Exposure to Imaging & Workflow solutions.
• Exposure to SQL and programming languages.
• Confidence to express own opinions, and be pragmatic about modifying them when appropriate.
• Passionate about technology and its application to real-world problems.
