Senior IT Support Technician

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and capable Senior IT Support Technician based primarily at their Wolverhampton Head Office.

You will be involved in supporting all aspects of the company's IT infrastructure setup from fixing and setting up workstations, through creation of servers and be the server administrator to supporting key applications.

IT Senior Support Technician - Day to Day activities:

* Be a senior presence in the IT team and take responsibility for the implementation and resolution of all IT projects/ issues, identifying the cause of the issue and resolving it efficiently
* Perform deployments of new equipment including laptops, mobile phones and new office workstations
* Manage software upgrades and auditing
* Maintain and manage the company's IT infrastructure
* Administer and control the recording and progressing of all IT support issues/ requests
* Modify existing infrastructure in response to changing business requirements
* Identify and feedback any potential improvements to the IT systems and infrastructure
* Participate in Infrastructure improvement projects including server creation and build
* Provide support and assistance to less experienced members of the team

Essential to the IT Senior Support Technician role:

* Strong IT technical experience preferably within a support technician role
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

* Ability to manage IT projects

* Good time management and organisation skills
* Ability to lead and develop other members of the team
* Problem solving skills with the ability to adopt a logical approach to solving problems
* Excellent technical skills
* Knowledge of latest MS Office suite, MS Windows server, Dynamics/CRM, Office365, Networks and network technology, Firewall, Anti Virus, VM Ware, Netapp SANs, InTune, Backup/DR software, IP Phone System, Google, Service Management techniques and ITIL Service management

Hours of work are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 31 days annual leave, Birthday off, pension and other benefits. Own transport is required but all business mileage covered should a pool car not be available.
