CCS | Compass Corporate Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Trainer to join a large, quality focused, specialist care provider.
Overview - Training Officer | Trainer | Regional | Healthcare
This job is working for a specialist care provider, who caters for both older adult and specialist care. This private healthcare organisation prides themselves in delivering the highest level of tailored and personalised care. They are seeking to employ an experienced Trainer with a minimum of 'C&G 7300’ (or equivalent i.e. PTLLS / CertEd etc…) qualified and quality driven individual to cover their south region.
You'll be report directly into the Regional Director and be tasked with delivering mandatory, induction and refresher training across your region, this includes subjects such as; safeguarding, manual handling, fire drills, practical and basic life support, Customer Care, Distressed Reaction & Dementia Level 1 and more. You will also be responsible for;
- Managing the regions training calendar to ensure that training needs are met,
- Keeping records up-to-date with subjects such as; competition of training, targets, etc…
- Observing workplace practise
Whilst training is a strong part of your role, you’ll have an eye for identifying needs in order maximise development opportunities across your region and the organisation as a whole. By regularly networking with your colleagues across the organisation, you’ll be ensuring that all staff training and development needs are met.
Other responsibilities will include; helping manage and maximise the apprenticeship programmes, adhere to the local safeguarding policy and follow the Duty of Candour requirements, Contribute to the Training Needs Analysis, promote eLearning and arrange induction paperwork and support new starters through induction (mentoring and coaching as and when needed).
This role will involve large travel across the organisation.

The ideal candidate would be based in the Richmond area (or surrounding) however as this position is a home based role the services are commutable from; London, Greater London, Twickenham, Epsom, Croydon, Harrow, Woking, Slough, Bracknell, Guildford, Horley, Bromley, Crawley, Reading, High Wycombe, Alton, Basingstoke, Horsham, Surry, Sussex, Berkshire, Hampshire.
Essential - Training Officer | Trainer | Regional | Healthcare
- Experience of working in a Social Care Sector OR Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Working knowledge of legislative requirements within the care industry
- Previous experience as a Trainer delivering mandatory Training in the health and Social Care sector.
- Full valid driving licence
Desirable but not essential - Training Officer | Trainer | Regional | Healthcare
- Training qualification (i.e. CertEd or PTLLS/DTLLS/CTLLS or Train the Trainer)
- Coaching & Mentoring qualification
