Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Tooling Engineer to join our highly motivated and well-established team. The Tooling Engineer will manage, and complete activities associated with procuring, installing and validating mould tools for new projects, scale-up and routine tool replacement programmes, to agreed time lines and budgetary constraints. You will provide technical support to Operations for tools in routine production and manage improvement activities for replacement tools. The Tooling Engineer will also provide commercially competitive tooling solutions, estimates / quotations required to underpin opportunity evaluation targeting new business, ongoing operations and capacity expansion.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Apprentice trained and HNC qualified in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience in reading, generating and modifying 2D & 3D mould designs using CAD systems.
Design experience of complex moulding tools i.e. hot runners, multi shot, stack tools, IML, insert tooling etc.
A good understanding and knowledge of moulding processes and a wide range of polymers.
Project Management experience in the procurement and validation of tooling projects for a regulated industry.
Data driven approach to problem solving using analytical tools.
Good written, oral communication, report writing and presentation skills along with proficiency with IT systems such as Production Management Systems, CAD, MS Office etc.
