Are you a graduate from a Mechanical Engineering or Polymer Science background? Are you ready for the next step in your journey to becoming an Internal Sales Executive?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineering / Polymer Science graduate to join a global manufacturing brand as an Internal Sales Executive / Trainee Sales Engineer. This role has genuine career opportunities to develop into an external Sales Engineer role.

Initially office based, commutable from: Coventry, Rugby, Northampton, Leicester, Kettering, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Lutterworth, Daventry, Kenilworth, Leamington Spa

£25-30k Basic + Pension + employee development

This role would suit a graduate seeking an opportunity to develop a successful career with a number one brand in the mechanical engineering sector. You will receive training and support from a successful and experienced team.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the Internal Sales Executive position will possess the following attributes:

A strong mechanical, technical acumen is a must for this role
Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Polymer Science Engineering or technical qualification
Excellent communication skills including communicating with clients and colleagues face to face, via telephone and email.
Previous sales experience is advantageous, although not essential.
An interest in the automotive and industrial sectors
A willingness to learn, develop and grow through on the job training and support.
Analytical with good research skills

The Role – Internal Sales Executive

Liaise with and support the external sales team.
Understand and meet customer’s expectations in terms of product performance, quality, process and service.
Work with and share information with production sites and business units globally.
Maintain an up to date knowledge of the market, competitors and customer developments, through regular and thorough market research.
Develop your knowledge of products, industries and customers with a view to progressing to an external sales engineer role.
