This company are a leading supplier of connectivity, telecoms systems and cloud based management solutions.

Job Summary

Working in their Service Delivery team in York to design, install and provide 2nd/3rd line support to their managed services customers. Provide installation and support for their Internet connectivity services across the UK.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Complete installation works for connectivity and managed services
- Diagnose complicated issues with connectivity and managed services
- Undertake a pre-sales role to quote and design solutions when required
- Carrying out regular checks for scheduled tasks and backup jobs
- Deliver the highest standards of customer service to customers
- Provide coaching to junior members of the team
- Ensure relevant Service Level Agreements (SLA's) are adhered to
- Take part in the on call rota to cover urgent out of hours issues - currently 1 in 4 weeks but may be subject to change.

Essential Skills
- Windows Server 2008 - 2012
o Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, RDS
- VMware vSphere/vCenter 5 - 6
- Strong Networking ability
o WAN/LAN connectivity, Firewalls, Routers
- Backup software configuration
- An understanding of wireless technologies (2.4Ghz & 5Ghz)
- An understanding of VoIP telephony - configuring handsets and troubleshooting call quality
- Network monitoring using SNMP
- Exceptional customer service skills

Desirable Skills
- Good knowledge of Juniper Junos
- Good knowledge of Cisco IOS
- Asterisk VoIP telephony experience
- CentOS or Debian experience

- Full UK Driving License
- Must live within 1 hour of York

25 days annual leave & statutory - 3 days must be taken at Christmas

35 Hours per week. Typically 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday
