We are looking to recruit an IT Operations Technical Analyst to join our busy team based in Macclesfield. The role will be responsible for resolving IT issues for Bodycote users logged with our Service Desk, focusing on application and ERP related issues across all sites in Bodycote, primarily in Europe.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for resolving incidents & requests in line with the defined ITIL based processes and to agreed Business service levels.

  • Contribute to the technical Change Advisory Board specific to changes to applications.

  • Prepare knowledge base articles for customers and the wider Service Delivery team.

  • Work with the problem management team to resolve issues and address corrective actions identified by our service improvement programme.

  • Collaborating globally with Bodycote IT resources, supporting over 3400 IT users in over 180 locations speaking English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Czech, Swedish, Finnish, Dutch, Danish, Portuguese, Turkish and Chinese.

Education, Skills and Experience

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years experience delivering Applications Support in a complex corporate environment.

  • Strong technical background covering ERP systems such as: Dynamics AX, Navision and various instances of Jeeves (Sweden).

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of ERP systems

  • Knowledge of procurement, accounting and finance processes with ERP systems

  • Knowledge of Job Order Production (JOP), a customised module within Navision 3.7.

  • Knowledge of Windows workstation operating systems up to Windows 10.

  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2003 through 2016

  • Additional languages

  • Working knowledge of ITIL.

  • Excellent active listening and analytical skills.

  • Must have a flexible approach and excellent interpersonal skills - the ability to work as and motivate a team is essential.

  • Ability to work well and continue to deliver results under pressure.

  • Self-motivated with ability to work without direct management control.

  • Must be able to deal with customers / suppliers / peers at all levels in a professional manner.

  • Must be willing to travel and to stay away from home as and when required.
