Our Client
We are working alongside a leading, international energy company with a multi-billion pound turnover. Our client is currently active in Germany, UK, Italy and Russia and they operate along three key business units - on-site generation, energy efficiency, and virtual power plants. They are currently seeking a Key Account Manager for their rapidly growing Energy Efficiency Unit located near Berlin

The role
Our client are looking for a competent, experienced Senior Energy Engineer to be a vital cog in their Energy Management Centre for their Energy Efficiency Department near Berlin.

Candidate Responsibilities
The Senior Energy Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the following:
• Managing remotely and optimizing of Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Cooling (HVAC) as well as Lighting estate via various Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Carrying out remote services on HVAC systems and compile regular reports to our client’s multisite customers
• Liaising with engineers who may be attending site to address remedial works identified from the remote maintenance
• Collaborating with customer operations team to provide assistance where applicable to help them identify and price remedial actions necessary
• Providing accurate and detailed technical diagnosis of faults reported within customer´s sites via facility management system and any other sources (i.e. store staff, facility management contractor)
• Developing further the use of software strategy capabilities for implementation throughout customer estate
• Diagnosing reasons for excess energy exception alarms for electricity and gas
• Be innovative with ideas to reduce energy consumption at all times
• Reporting to Head of Energy Management Centre

Candidate Profile:
The Senior Energy Engineer will have the following knowledge and skill sets:
• Relevant University degree or equivalent or outstanding experience (e.g. in electrical measurement and control systems)
• Advanced BMS systems knowledge
• Ability to correctly interpret and alter existing control strategy in BMS systems
• Extensive experience in Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Cooling systems (HVAC)
• Analysis of Energy data from aM&T systems
• IT Networking experience and familiar with Modbus or BACnet technology
• Strong MS Office knowledge in particular excellent Excel skills
• Ambitious, target orientated and strong will to further develop skill set
