Civil Engineering

A large tier 2 civil engineering and infrastructure contractor are looking for an established business development manager, with a high level of civil engineering experience and valuable contacts within the industry. This BDM needs to be professional, proactive and able to manage their own time in order to assist the fast growth of this civil engineering contractor.

About the Client:
The client turnover around £100mil, with work on several high-profile London sites. They cover groundworks/earthworks, hard landscaping, highway infrastructure and maintenance, as well as rc frame and basement construction. They have grown year on year and are now at the stage where they want to take the business to the next level.

About the Role:
Win new business by establishing new clients
Establishing relationships with main contractors
Assisting in the bid process for new work
Maintain existing client relationships and establish new business areas
Generate incoming tenders
Establish new marketing routes and complete competitor analysis

About the Candidate:
At least 10 years of Business development experience
Have key relationships with main contractors/clients
Understand the Civil Engineering market
Be able to operate independently, with minimal downwards input
Have a tenacious and ambitious attitude
