Accounts Assistant

Accounts position - Purchase and Sales Ledger - Corby

The Company

A fast pace manufacturing and distribution company based in Corby.

The role

We are looking for an all- round Accounts Assistant and payroll professional to work closely with our experienced CEO and Finance Director. The hours can have a degree of flexibility but will cover forty hours Monday to Friday.

This is an all -round Accounts support role so experience and knowledge of a wide aspect of accounts support is important.

  • Accounting software and sound bookkeeping knowledge ideally Sage 200

  • Purchase ledger processing for entering invoices to reconciling supplier statements and preparing BACS payment report.

  • Sales ledger processing including credit control

  • Nominal ledger including posting journals

  • Cash books and balancing of bank accounts

  • Capable of producing accounts to trial balance

  • Good numeracy for processing wages timesheets ideally with experience of Sage 50 payroll.

  • Knowledge of VAT and Intrastat.

  • Producing cheque runs.

  • Microsoft office experience especially Excel, word and Outlook

  • Good telephone manner.

  • Limited Secretarial duties.

What you’ll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have a rounded finance administration experience and be keen to work within a small but busy office environment.
