Working as a Support Worker within their team, it’s not just the residents health needs you’ll help meet. You’ll also help the residents to get more out of life - to be more independent, to enjoy a wider range of activities, and, above all, to have more choice in their day to day life. Working closely with the Team Leader and the nurses, you’ll lend a hand with everything from helping someone get ready for an eagerly anticipated family visit, to supporting someone who’s trying to build up their mobility.

Whether you’re assisting a nurse, getting involved with a daily activity, filling in vital paperwork or lending someone a hand to eat their lunch, you’ll make all the residents you care for feel safe, comfortable and secure. In other words, you’ll make them feel right at home.

The ideal candidate for the Support Worker role will have some knowledge of caring for elderly people with dementia. While there are no specific qualifications required for this role, it would be advantageous to have a NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Health and Social Care
