Finance and Payments Officer

My client is growing its student accommodation and commercial lettings provision across the City and is now looking for a Finance and Payments Officer.
Ensuring a high quality level of customer focussed service is provided at all times, you will provide comprehensive financial administrative support for staff, customer and clients of the business.
You will be responsible for the payment of accommodation monies in an efficient, timely and professional manner, providing supporting statement advice. This will include ensuring all landlords, clients and customers are paid appropriately and any fee is charged in line with processes and procedures.
You will effectively manage the process for tenant deposit returns in a timely manner, liasing with Property Agents and updating the Tenancy Deposit website and accommodation software. You will undertake the collation, analysis and presentation of statistical information regarding all payments in accordance with financial regulations, ensuring accuracy of data.
You should have significant experience in all administrative and procedures and of working within a busy client centred, customer focussed, and preferably within an accommodation or letting agent environment.
Educated to A-level or equivalent with a C in Maths at G.C.S.E level or equivalent, you will have experience of financial systems and processes, with excellent attention to detail and confidence with numbers and calculations. We expect you to be highly organised and proficient in the use of IT, including the Microsoft Office suite.
Must be able to work independently on complex tasks and, and part of a team. The ability to be assertive and empathetic is essential, as is be able to achieve deadlines and remaining calm under pressure.
Opportunities for taking annual leave during business critical periods (mainly from mid-August to end of September) will be restricted.
To work 37.5 hours over 7 day shift pattern to meet business requirements.
