The Client:
The Green Recruitment Company is working with the energy performance contracting division of a multi-national energy company who provide low-carbon and energy efficiency products and services. They deliver various low carbon technologies to commercial consumers, ranging from energy surveys to intricate installations of microgeneration equipment. They are looking to recruit a Head of Energy Consultancy in a strategically important role for the business.

The Role:
The Head of Energy Consultancy role will involve the management of 2 teams, our client’s Data Analytical Team and their Performance Management Team. The Data Analytical team provides analysis in order to assess a projects viability in support of the BD team, provide data to understand the real starting point for any project the baseline and to assess Energy Performance Contracts throughout their life to ensure that clients are achieving the energy savings that are guaranteed. The Performance Management Team manages the performance of energy conservation measures during the operational phase of the EPC to ensure that the guaranteed savings are demonstrated and maintained.

Candidate Responsibilities:
The Head of Energy Consultancy will be responsible for the following:
• Manage the teams to support winning, delivery and performance of all Energy Performance Con-tracts
• Head the teams to deliver growth, flexibility and an increased demand in services.
• Manage relationships with third parties to ensure value for money for our client and the customer
• Identify, recruit, train and nurture a team of technical specialists, ensuring teams are resourced, trained and able to implement cost effective energy savings.
• Provide strategies within energy partnership solutions, liaising with sales teams for auditing resource availability, and designing contracts that satisfy both parties.
• Measure the delivered savings through each contract using the most current international protocols technology.
• Natural ability within industry networking, including speaking at conferences, writing articles and appearing as a trusted partner of clients.
• Support the sales teams and network in the industry at events, including public speaking
• Become a key decision maker on the viability of individual Energy Performance contracts.
• Ensure operational and regulatory risks are managed and escalated as appropriate.

Candidate Requirements:
• Expert knowledge of the energy supply, energy efficiency and Energy Performance Contracting markets
• Strong engineering background
• Experience of energy management and/or of working in a provider of energy efficiency services at a senior level
• Experience within the contracting industry combined with ability at providing services to customers within commercial organisations
• Can attract new commercial deals while delivering value for money
• Ability to combine stakeholder management with internal and external customers while also maintaining high level relationships with business leaders
• Experience of working with third parties and contractors within a commercial relationship
• Can calculate complex energy-saving solutions including costs and savings
• Have an understanding of a wide range of energy conservation measures
• Commercially astute - demonstrable commercial acumen - knowing what our client’s customers want and how to service them
• Experience of a wide range of energy conservation measures
