Interim Accountant job in Cardiff.
Your new organisation
My client is a team part of NHS Wales. The team were set up in April 2011 with the purpose of concentrating back office functions to allow the seven Health Boards and three NHS Trusts in Wales to focus on front line services. Due to a secondment the team are recruiting for an interim accountant for period of six months.
Your new role
Based in modern offices just outside of Cardiff you will work as part of a large team of finance professionals and will report into the team's head of service. Your role will be multi-faceted and will include budgeting, forecasting / consolidation of the organisation's financial position, monthly monitoring return submission to the Welsh Government, month end closedown / management accounts, reporting to Senior Management Team / Committees, debtor management and involvement in 3 year planning. This role is full-time 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or CIMA) with strong management accounting skills. A good team player and communicator you will feel comfortable working as part of a shared service environment. You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to articulate financial information to non-financial people. IT literate you will have previous experience of using Oracle or other ERP systems.
