The Organisation:
The Green Recruitment Company is working with a leading energy services business in the UK across public, private and healthcare sectors who are looking for an Account Manager to join their growing energy procurement team.
The Role:
To contribute to the provision of an effective portfolio management service to our clients and to undertake specific responsibilities to facilitate the professional and efficient operation of the department.

You will contribute to the retention, profitability and growth of income for the Bespoke/Standard portfolio.

You will provide a full range of support services to the business and your assigned portfolio of clients, ensuring a professional image of the organisation is maintained at all times.

You will be the first point of contact for all internal and external contacts, managing and escalating any issues if necessary.

You will work with clients to identify their needs and work out how the organisation can deliver those requirements in order to retain the client.

Person Specification:
• You will oversee the delivery of services to its client base by working closely with the - Client Admin Team and Negotiators ensuring service delivery against clients contractual requirements and the contractual obligations
• You will be responsible for, the on-going retention & renewal targets as per KPI`s set by the board
• Managing debt position with assigned clients in line with processes and 30 day terms
• You will be responsible for identifying and maximising additional revenue across the portfolio.
• Responsible for obtaining client testimonial/case studies and referrals from the client base
• Ensure that all client visits are carried out as per client contract with our business and meeting notes/actions are distributed and carried out within agreed timescales
• Ensure contact with assigned clients in line with monthly call target, and record as appropriate
• Take on new and additional client portfolios as instructed ensuring that the induction process is followed
• Manage client losses to ensure portfolio is closed and archive appropriately and necessary feedback obtained from client
• Monitor the energy markets
• Demonstrate an understanding of the energy markets and what affects them
• Contribute to the energy procurement strategy decision making process
• You will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities from existing and new clients and supporting the sales team in securing this business as and when appropriate including visits, data provision, contracts etc.
• Assist with any sales, client or marketing activities such as trade shows and conferences
• Where appropriate assist clients with debt management with utility suppliers

Skills and experience requirements for role:
• Experience of managing accounts and relationships for multiple clients
• Experience of presenting to clients at a senior management level
• Experience of working within the Energy Industry either at Consultant or Supplier
• Experience in managing projects campaigns, co-ordinating team members, developing timetables and setting deadlines in order to achieve client objectives
• Ability to assist with the development of information systems and related processes
• Experienced, confident in the use of IT packages and databases
• Exceptional analytical and listening skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet objectives under pressure
• Present campaign results and strategy at senior management level, whilst considering the variety of knowledge levels within the audience
• Identify and convert new business opportunities
• Excellent communication skills
• Effectively manage customer & staff relationships, promptly respond to queries, ensure promises are kept and manage expectations
• Apply numerical skills to analyse data, interpreting facts and figures presented in the form of statistical tables and diagrams, thinking critically and checking for errors
• Able to multi-task and prioritise workloads
