Purpose of the job:
The role of the Business development manager will be to focus on sales opportunity in the open market and will include:
• Track down opportunity externally
• Use of CRM tool and sales tracking
• Reporting to management on progress
• Consistently hit quarterly targets

This role will report directly to the Director. Full training will be offered on the systems used and business process where needed.

The role will be subject to a bonus scheme payment where pre agreed targets have been achieved. This is subject to the usual management approval.

Dimensions of job:
The role will require an individual who can take responsibility, work in a proactive manner and is self-motivated to succeed. They will need to grow the pipeline and in turn the order book with consultants and M&E contractors

Knowledge and skills:
• Experience of Trend, Siemens and Cylon would be an advantage, however training is available.
• Excellent Communications skills (verbal and written)
• IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience of selling in the construction environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to either work as a conscientious team player or work unsupervised
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads
• Ability to estimate work packages

Experience:
The job holder will have:
• Excellent electrical knowledge / background with awareness of 17th Edition IEE Regulations
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC plant and control applications
• Good awareness of health and safety regulations
• Have worked in the sales field before
• Be able to produce proposals and handover documentation
