As s 2nd Line Engineer, you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager, as recognised by others by:
* Being responsible for supporting the security, capacity, and availability of all data centre and corporate IT infrastructure such as hypervisors, servers, storage, network switches.
* Overseeing internet access, remote access, email, file/print and telephony.

The role of 2nd line engineer reports to the Service Desk Team Leader and will have no direct reports.

About You
You will already hold an ITIL foundation certificate and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the ITIL incident, problem and change processes. You will be currently working in an infrastructure or support role and looking for your next contract.
You will be a highly curious individual with a strong knowledge and technical understanding in aspects of infrastructure such as VMware, SAN technologies and WAN LAN technologies.

Communication comes easily to you, you demonstrate a real empathy for colleagues and customers. You have a high standard of both verbal and written communication.

Main Responsibilities

* Maintaining, the security, capacity, and availability of all data centre and corporate IT infrastructure.
* Ensure that data and systems are backed up and can be recovered, even in a disaster.
* Resolving incidents, and completing job related activity as necessary, in and out of hours, exempt from overtime.
* Provide technical delivery resources to projects.
* Supporting, monitoring, and reporting, the security, capacity, and availability of all data centre and corporate IT infrastructure.
* Ensuring that all IT infrastructure assets are managed, in policy and secure;
* Creation and maintenance of IT infrastructure processes, and documentation
* Minimising the impact of changes to operations through robust change management.
* Supporting 3rd party maintainers and providers in fault resolution and analysis.
