Project Engineer / 2nd Line Support

A Project Engineer / 2nd Line Support is needed to join a leading player within the hospitality tech sector. Expect to play a key role supporting the project team during the system installation process whilst providing 2nd line support for stakeholders, customers and resellers.

With a diverse range of cutting edge communication systems, this innovative supplier has provided solutions to over 15,000 customers across a range of industries (Retail, Hotels, Commercial) for over two decades. Due to unprecedented growth they are now seeking a Project Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their talented team renowned for delivering 1st class service.

Reporting to the Project Manager the Project Engineer will play a key customer facing role supporting the project team during the installation of communication solutions used in Restaurants and the hospitality sector. Whether you are providing high level support to customers during the site-survey, system set up, and testing; reporting any third party issues; assisting the technical manager will all new software and hardware products; creating and maintaining project documents; or updating stakeholders, you will play a vital role assisting the Project Manager in ensuring outstanding projects are delivered on time and to budget.

To qualify. You should be a Project Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer / Field Support Engineer / Onsite Service Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer / Site Technician / Field Service Engineer / Customer Support Technician / Maintenance Support Engineer or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

  • Experience in a similar Project Engineer / Customer Support role (full product training given);
  • A HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent;
  • Experience of Prince 2 or equivalent methodology;
  • An understanding of radio communication systems;
  • An understanding of IT networking;
  • Good troubleshooting and problem solving abilities;
  • An aptitude to learn new technologies quickly;
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

Due to the nature of the role longer hours may be required. Including early starts and late finishes with the occasional weekend, if the projects dictates this.
