A leading Global Financial Institution is seeking to employ an IT Senior Manager, based in Sheffield

Hours 35 per week/permanent.

The role holder will manage a part of the IT function to meet its goals across all regions and entities with a high complexity. They will work collaboratively with Senior Managers from other areas in IT to ensure stakeholder and customers’ requirements are met.  They will set the strategic direction for their team and ensure adequate solutions are utilised by effectively managing competing and shifting priorities.  The individual will maintain awareness of business strategies and emerging technologies to provide high quality, technical solutions which support business goals and technical strategies. They will steer and guide the team to deliver change implementation activities. The role holder will play a key role in leading teams of IC’s and managers to deliver IT solutions and support to the end user. The individual will be the coordination point for all IT strategic planning, finance, operational risk, and support activities across Europe IT Commercial Banking and Global Commercial Banking.  They will lead IT Transformation, define and implement Organisation Design for the function. They will also manage the relevant budget, planning, monitoring and metrics to ensure alignment with the financial objectives of IT globally.

The successful candidate will be a graduate and will have the following:

  • Experience in IT leadership management role working with complex programmes and teams across geographies.
  • Understanding of global strategies and ability to collaborate with the business at a global level to accomplish these strategies.
  • Good commercial and financial management ability with proven track record
  • Excellent understanding of IT frameworks, methodologies and best practice techniques
