An experienced Head of PR / Outreach manager is required for an expanding digital agency based in Manchester. You should have at least 3 years experience working in a similar position with a deep understanding of content marketing and digital PR techniques, including initial research, ideation, content creation, effective blogger outreach, contacting press, project management and campaign reporting.

You will also have experience of managing other teams members and be able to organise and monitor their workload.

Role And Responsibilities

You will manage the entire creative content process from ideation right through to campaign reporting. You will oversee successful campaigns and ensure work is delivered on time and to a high standard. Your main tasks will include:

- Formulating ideas based on the target audience / client objectives
- Perform research gathering for new projects
- Organising and project managing the process including creative production, content production, design, development, testing, outreach, negotiation, reporting
- Managing internal teams to ensure the work is produced within agreed deadlines and is done to a high standard
- Managing workload and working on multiple tasks at once
- Creating and planning the outreach strategy for each campaign, using appropriate software where necessary
- Directly managing the outreach department and team members
- Liaising closely with the management team, keeping them informed of the progress of the campaign
- Leveraging existing blogger and journo relationships

Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of SEO techniques
- Ability to proofread
- Ability to manage multiple projects and juggle your workload
- Be adept at using Google docs
- Knowing a good link from a bad link with a justification why
- Understanding of link penalties, metrics, recoveries and monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage/prioritise workload across the week
- Sense of humour

Based in their Altrincham office on the Metrolink from Manchester, the train line from Chester and Stockport and close to the M56, M60 and M6 for the drivers.

The hours of work are Monday - Friday; 9:00 - 5:00. Office is open usually between 8 and 6 so flexi time is available. You will have tasks to complete and they expect them to be delivered on time.
