Legal Administration Assistant - HARPENDEN
Working hours of the role: 8.30am - 5.15pm
up to £18K
We are looking to recruit a Legal Administration Assistant to assist in the smooth running of the Harpenden office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in pursuing a legal career or working within a legal environment.
Experience is not essential, however using your initiative is key to the role and therefore requires a self-starter with a proactive approach and can-do attitude.
Responsibilities to include:
To provide general office administration support with reception duties;
To provide a warm, welcoming environment to all our clients and visitors;
Attending to incoming and outgoing post;
To carry out banking duties;
File archiving, updating records, together with the processing of file retrievals together with Wills and Deeds;
Making maintenance calls when phones/photocopiers break down.
Report firm-wide IT issues to relevant company;
To regularly check and order stationery;
To ensure there is an adequate supply of refreshments available;
Filing, photocopying, printing and scanning.
The appropriate candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
Professional telephone manner and good people skills;
Organisation and prioritisation;
Accuracy and attention to detail;
Positive, can-do attitude;
Basic computer skills (including working knowledge of Microsoft Word or equivalent).
