This role offers a great opportunity for a talented sales individual to help shape and drive the commercial strategy of a successful early stage business, and take full ownership and responsibility of their commercial activity.

This ambitious digital publishing company and their platform enables global brands such as RBS, Barclays, DC Thompson, University of Northampton, Hiscox, L'Oreal and AXA to better communicate with their customers via mobile, tablet and desktop, using both web and brand owned content.

They work with brands, advertising and media agencies, primarily in the UK, and they are looking to recruit a talented, experienced Sales Manager to help drive their ambitious growth.

About you

- Experienced, ambitious, a genuine passion for mobile, content marketing, media and advertising.
- Selling to clients (B2B) and agencies, you need to be creative, digitally savvy, and have a pro-active, can-do, diligent approach.
- You will have a key role in the development of new sales strategies and the launch of new products to market - taking ownership of the commercial strategy of a high-growth business.

Core responsibilities
- Work with the Managing Director and marketing team, pitching to clients at board and senior management level
- Respond to in-bound website enquiries and leads from marketing initiatives
- Identify sales opportunities in key sectors
- Liaise with marketing and digital teams to deliver and implement BtP's products and services to clients
- Attend trade exhibitions and network at events to develop relationships and identify new sales opportunities
- Manage existing key accounts and identify new sales opportunities

Skills and experience

- Degree educated with strong academic background
- Self-starter and team player with a natural ability to think independently and identify sales opportunities
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience of successful sales and account management, particularly selling digital marketing solutions to clients or agencies
- Software / SAAS sales in B2B background would be an asset (preferable)
- Experience of delivering against quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Experience of selling marketing and content marketing solutions (preferable)
- Relationship building - credibility and gravitas to gain entry to key decision makers both agency and client side
- Account management skills - strong client service ethic and a keen interest in building long- term business partnerships
- Problem-solving - analytical skills to interpret sales and market trend information to identify new revenue opportunities
- Media and market landscape - good grasp of marketing and advertising landscape, with understanding of the dynamics of large media agencies and corporate organisations
