We are looking to appoint a Sales Ledger & Payroll Clerk to join a national company in Blackburn.

Our client is a national manufacturing business; working with well renowned suppliers across the UK. Their success has been built on the skills of valued people and continue to recruit talented people to join the team.

Due to continued growth they are looking for a Sales Ledger & Payroll clerk to join the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is looking for career stability and wanting to work in a close knit team environment.

As Sales Ledger & Payroll Clerk your role will include:
Sales Ledger:
* Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date sales ledger Sage 200
* Raising sales invoices and processing around 300/month
* Chasing outstanding payments by phone and in writing,
* Updating the sales ledger with payments received
* Bank reconciliation, accruals and pre payments
* Sorting out any rebates and filing
* Providing creditors with VAT receipts

Payroll:
* Processing payroll by gathering information from the ‘clock in’ system - and inputting data for weekly payroll
* Answers staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records
* Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in payroll records
* Liaising with line managers regarding hours worked
* Handling payroll queries

The ideal Sales Ledger & Payroll Clerk must:
* Ability to demonstrate experience in sales ledger and payroll
* Strong communication skills, with a professional and confident telephone manner
* High level of attention to detail, numerate and literate
* A proactive team player approach with a 'can do’ attitude
* Strong levels of IT literacy including working knowledge of Sage 200, Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel
