*** Teaching Assistant - EAL
*** EAL Graduate Support
*** SEN Support
*** Full time role
*** £55-60 per day
*** Starting September 2018

My client secondary school has approached Edustaff to help recruit a graduate to join their school with the aim of supporting pupils who do not speak English as their first language. This is a full time, term time position starting in September 2018. The position will run until the end of the school year.

In order to best support and advance the learning of those pupils who may have come, originally, from a different country or do not speak English as their first language the school require a high calibre graduate with the ability to teach English. Ideally as well as holding a relevant degree candidates will have either experience or qualifications in teaching English as an additional language.

The school require a graduate that is passionate about reading, developing young learners and that are committed to a future career, probably as a primary school teacher. This experience would be perfect for candidates that are starting teacher training in Sept 2019 and would like to gain as much experience in a school prior to starting.

This is a challenging position that requires a very disciplined and organised graduate. Each day will bring new challenges and hurdles but should provide immense satisfaction as the speaking and written English of the pupils being supported improves.

As a school judged by OFSTED in 2017 as 'Good' they are part way through a journey to a judgement of 'Outstanding', and have made substantial progress so far. You can be assured that in this dynamic environment there is no coasting, and the development of staff and resources is a constant high priority. Continued professional development is a key factor to their success and a tailored training programme designed by your mentor to promote your strengths and enhance your areas of growth.

If you’re committed to a future career in primary education and have the ability to teach English to young pupils and can support pupils then my client school would be interested in seeing a copy of your CV.

Please note: due to the volume of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted
