We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and motivated candidate to take on the role of Finance Business Partner within SIG Distribution, to be based out of Birmingham. As part of a professional team you will work closely with operational management to put Finance at the core of and support the business in making effective decision making.

What does the role involve?

Responsibilities will include the compilation of management accounts providing appropriate insight and recommendations, to your senior colleagues; as well as the design, development and management of robust bottom up forecasts. In this role, you will provide support to the business with the implementation of its strategy and attend regional meetings to provide financial updates. In the role, you will work closely with the Regional Directors to monitor and drive business performances within each branch, providing strategic insight and data driven decision making.
In addition, you will prepare investment proposals and appraise investment decisions, as well as be the key liaison between the finance shared service and the operational businesses.
In the role you will provide support to all businesses within the SIG Distribution whilst challenging and supporting managers to achieve the company’s objectives.
All the while ensuring a robust control environment through compliance with all policies and procedures.

It is likely you will be a Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with experience within a similar role. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, be commercially aware and able to develop and manage your workload effectively. You will have the proven ability to both build relationships and be an influencer across all levels. This role will sit at the heart of the business so will need to be comfortable working alongside operational and commercial colleagues, and be able to build excellent working relationships. You will have experience of an ERP system, as well as MS Office. Although the role is Manchester based, there will also be a requirement to visit the other regional branches across the UK with regular trips to Head Office in Sheffield, therefore a full driving license will be required.
