Based in the Cambridgeshire market place, you will be exposed to the latest ideas and research in the field within a fast paced modern working environment.

As Control Engineer, your role will be to design, develop and improve the electrical and control systems for my clients growing range of products. Based within the R&D team, you will be instrumental in designing and detailing the systems used by the business in its newest range of machines, as well as supporting the development of existing products through user interface and product management queries. Reporting directly into the Controls Team Leader, your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited too:

- Working with the Project Managers and R&D team on new and improved designs for performance enhancement
- Designing and developing specifications for electrical control systems
- Designing, developing, upgrading and troubleshooting PLC programs, HMI and electrical control hardware
- Preparing and maintaining design documentation

Ideally you will be degree qualified (BEng, MEng, BSc) in a suitable electrical subject, or possess vocational qualifications such as HNC/HND and the relevant practical experience of design and process improvement. A background in fast moving goods machinery design, system integration, or industrial machinery related industry is expected, with the successful candidate having completed design specifications through to commissioning/installation stage preferred. Proven knowledge of PLC electrical control, HMI and multi-axis motion control systems is essential, with the use of E-Plan a preferred option.
