Our client is a successful global organisation who specialise in designing and manufacturing advanced lighting systems product ranges. You will be joining a fun team of professionals and have an exciting opportunity to grow within company as they’re recently expanding.

We’re seeking for a Purchasing and Commercial Manager who is professional, energetic and has a career focussed approach with an ethos of continual improvement and supporting business delivery.

The experienced and ambition individual will be responsible for leading transformational change within the Lighting & Systems division and the way the company does business with the supply chain. You will also provide expert review and assessment of customer terms and conditions as part of a “bid team” and ensure flow-down of customer terms to all major suppliers.

Requirements to the Role

* Applicable degree, MCIPS with experience of contract development and management, ideally with international contracts experience.
* Aerospace/defence industry at tier 1 or 2 level. Minimum 3 years’ experience in component purchasing
* Experienced in team management and department transformation, i.e. applying continuous improvement techniques, objective setting, professional and technical development, appraisal programmes.
* Experience of UK/international contract review and supply chain impacts.
* IFS or other MRP system experience essential.
* Extensive exposure to UK, International markets and logistics.
* KPI management.
