Group Reporting Accountant
An excellent opportunity has arisen in the West Hull area for a Group Reporting Accountant. The role would suit a qualified candidate with a strong audit/accounts background and experience of consolidating accounts or alternatively a candidate already working in industry in a similar role. The company are long established, forward thinking and are offering an attractive salary and benefits package. The company is located within an easy commute of central Hull, the eastern M62 corridor, A63, A164, East Riding villages and the Humber Bridge. THE ROLE -Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will develop and maintain reporting structures and procedures in order to produce timely consolidated finance reports for a complex group of businesses -Take responsibility for consolidating the financial reporting for the group, including all internal and external reporting in line with group reporting timetables -Take responsibility for statutory reporting and controls, including maintenance of internal controls, applicable legislation and UK GAAP -Take responsibility for and management of the annual external audit procedures to ensure strict adherence to timescales -Contribute to continuous improvement to financial processes, including IT systems -Ensuring corporation tax and VAT exposure is effectively managed and full compliance is achieved on submission of all HMRC returns -A variety of ad hoc duties as and when required commensurate with the seniority of the position. - - THE CANDIDATE -A qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) accountant, ideally you will have a strong background from professional practice including audit and accounts and a high degree of systems literacy. Candidates currently working in a similar group role in industry are also welcome to apply with the required skills and experience -Strong communication skills both verbal and written are vital as is technical competence, the ability to meet deadlines and have a forward thinking approach.
