Job Purpose

To assist the Manager and Deputy Manager in all aspects of production planning. Provide a point of communication between the sales, transport, production and goods inward departments to ensure the smooth running of operations and form part of a team of staff responsible for quality assurance within the organisation. To compile, analysis and present production data.

Job Tasks

Production planning
·Carry out production planning to meet the customer's requirements, including overseeing the efficient planning of orders, and reorganising production during breakdown situations etc.
·Ensure timely and relevant information is communicated between sales and customer service, and transport and production departments to facilitate the smooth running of order processes.

Production data
·To compile production data for the daily meeting detailing tonnes produced, efficiencies, and nearby capacity. To present the information in the meeting.
·Maintain and develop database records to assist with production planning, such as daily upkeep usage figures.
·To analyse production data, highlighting abnormalities to the Manager.
·Work with the Project and Continuous Improvement Engineer to compile data for EEO and for maintenance and project decisions.
·To compile records for any production non-conformances

Production consumables
·To monitor and order mill consumables such as PPE, empty bags, stitching thread, weighbridge tickets, labels etc. To assist with the upkeep of financial records such as invoices.

Raw Materials / Logistics
·Assist the Purchasing department with raw materials and logistics planning and goods intake processes, weighing in deliveries and taking product samples when required.
·Assist with public weighs using the company weighbridge.

Customer service / department liaison
·Act as liaison for the production department between Customer Services, Transport, Sales and Technical. Also be a point of contact for production staff in the absence of the Deputy Mill Manager and Mill Manager.
·Assist others employees within the offices as and when required.

Person Specification

·Highly motivated team player with a can do attitude
·Effectively organise a fast paced workload and maintain strong attention to detail
·Strong problem solving capability
·Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload.
·Excellent communication skills
·Good IT skills, especially Excel
·Able to analysis data and produce and present reports
·Flexible to work until plans are complete

*The role is currently predominantly Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm but flexibility is required to meet the needs of role and business.
