Regional Contract Manager

My client is a leading provider of mechanical and electrical building services maintenance, a company that provides a tailored and bespoke technical service that suits client requirements across a varied client base to include corporate, commercial and retail environments.

A Regional Contract Manager is required to manage the provision of M&E hard services maintenance to a multi-site client portfolio throughout Midlands and southern areas of the UK.

Based from the Birmingham office the Regional Contract Manager be responsible for the Midlands and Southern UK operation and will be accountable for the delivery of M&E hard services as well as helping to grow the region by way of working closely with the business development team with regards to new business opportunities and brand development and contract retention/renewals.

The Regional Contract Manager will manage the provision of M&E planned & reactive hard services maintenance to include (not limited to) HVAC, mechanical, electrical and building fabric to a multi-site portfolio that include financial, corporate, commercial and retail & leisure client environments.

The Regional Contract Manager will have direct line management responsibility for approximately x 6 mobile multi-skilled engineers and x 2 contract administration support. The Regional Contract Manager in turn will report to a Regional Director.

The Regional Contract Manager will have P&L, budgetary & WIP responsibility and will have extensive client interfacing responsibility, attending regular company and client meetings and having regular interface with varying senior management members.

This position requires a candidate that is hands-on, visible to both the client(s), engineers, sub-contractors and directors alike and can ‘get things done’.

The position of Regional Contract Manager could well suit a candidate that would like to come away from the blue-chip corporate world and the countless tiers of management, politics and red-tape that can sometimes be associated and/or an experienced Contract Manager that would like a new challenge and wants to take that ‘step up’.

Please Note: Although based in Birmingham this position will require regular travel to wide parts of the UK e.g. London and possible overnight stays away from home as business needs require.

Candidate Requirements

Hold technical qualifications, further training background and experience commensurate to the position of a Regional Contract Manager
Management of M&E Hard Service Maintenance contracts to Corporate, Commercial & Retail client environments
Staff management i.e. mobile engineers & contract support administrators
Management of sub-contractors & 3rd parties
P&L, WIP and budgets
Possess exceptional communication and client interface skills.
The ability to both deliver current business, retain and develop new business opportunities.
Driving License

Salary & Additional Package Information

£50,000 - £55,000
£4,000 Car Allowance – Please Note: This position comes with a Car Allowance and NOT a Car
22 days holiday
Monday – Friday 0800 – 17.00
