Our Client are bold, highly-focused Pharmaceutical company with leading product portfolios in Ophthalmology and Aesthetics. Being a popular growing company with a global footprint, they are in search of a keen and lively individual to take on their new role as a Training Manager, based at their Head Office in Buckinghamshire on a 12 month fixed-term contract. This role partners with Leaders and functional Managers globally across the regions in the Research & Development Organisation to drive a culture of learning, performance excellence, quality, accountability and efficiency that support compliance, competency and business needs. Furthermore, this position can be regionally or office based and requires travel both within and across regions, so flexibility is essential.

Essential Requirements
You will have a BA / BSc with a minimum of 5 years of experience in research and development, and ideally a MA / MSc in related field (may substitute for 1 year of experience).
Preferably, 2 years in a learning and development environment in support of a research and development area.
Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies , needs analysis, program facilitation and evaluation.
Basic knowledge of GxP, ICH guidelines, PhRMA code, FDA CFR, ISO clinical research ethics, HIPAA and patient privacy laws, EU Directive and other applicable local regulations/training requirements.
Awareness of operational excellence theories and tools.
Proficient with electronic learning tools (e.g. Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia).
Knowledge of best in class learning approaches, techniques using various channels and mediums.
Awareness of concepts of clinical research and drug development.
Experience in developing training/training programs, preferable in a drug development and/or clinical research environment.
Proficient with electronic systems including, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Virtual meeting tools (WebEx, Skype, InterCall), e-Learning Tools.
Willingness to travel.

Role Responsibilities
Supporting a culture of learning, quality, accountability and efficiency throughout the organisation to support performance, quality, compliance and business needs.
Collaborating with stakeholders to identify training needs.
Lending knowledge in the application of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
Facilitating cross functional learning to reduce risk to the organisation.
Developing and maintaining training materials for functions and global regions and collaborating with partner departments and SMEs to ensure training remains current, compliant and relevant.
Ensuring training is inspection ready.
Regularly updating industry and company specific knowledge and training skills.
Collaborate with Training Team and stakeholders to identify training needs.
Support training initiatives.
Collaborate on the development and implementation of high quality, comprehensive, and effective competency based training programs.
Collaborate with functional partners to develop and maintain eLearning and instructor led training plans and materials.
Collaborate and coordinate with Process Managers and LMS.
Administrators for the roll-out and training of procedural documents.
Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of training content and delivery.
Manage assigned tasks according to agreed-upon timelines.
Engage Quality Assurance, Process and IT support as needed.
Provide regular written and verbal reports around training development status.
Communicate effectively and openly at all levels.
