The Organisation:
The Green Recruitment Company is working with a leading, international energy company who provide a wide range of leading energy solutions for medium and large corporate customers in the energy efficiency solution market place. They are recruiting for an Energy Supply Chain Manager to join their growing Manchester based energy team.

The responsibilities of the role:
The Energy Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for
• Supplier (Partner) management including day to day liaison with energy and carbon reducing product and service providers, to ensure that our client is best supported by a cost-effective supply chain with the optimal products and services. This will include identification of suitable new suppliers and technologies, ensuring their compliant use for our client and its clients
• Cost savings: Develop and drive activities within the company to reduce the specific prices of products and services delivered to customers
• Communication. Hold regular meetings with supply chain members to ensure that the supply chain is supporting the needs of the combined businesses. Ensure that access to supplier details and the specific utility of their energy and carbon reducing products and services can be achieved by relevant people quickly. Act as main day to day contact point, within for suppliers
• Support to Delivery Liaise with suppliers to identify energy saving products and services suitable for energy efficiency projects. Receive specifications, provided by technical colleagues, and obtain prices for inclusion into tenders and proposals
• Administration to ensure that suppliers’ details are registered into management systems so that they can be used in accordance with and client procedures. Produce reports on partner performance internally. Establish and develop internal processes in accordance with the Corporate Procurement guideline as well as an internal control system to manage the coherence to the guideline.
Experience and skills:
• Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management activities in the energy sector
• A good technical understanding of the energy efficiency industry as well as the relevant supplier markets
• Methodical and analytical knowledge and experience in design, development and use of modern supply chain management processes, structures and analysis tools
• Experience in drafting and negotiating value-maximizing contracts
• Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internally
• Management and leadership skills will become increasingly important to support growth in the team
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, internally and externally
• Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and that of others
• Problem solving skills
• Willingness to learn new skills as and when required
• Full UK driving licence
