We are looking for a Pensions Manager to join our public sector client in Bexley.

As a pensions manager you will be directly responsible for the client’s pension committee, leading policies, activities and service improvements required to deliver their pensions strategy.

Key Responsibilities

To promote cross scheme working in active pursuit of improved productivity and efficiency.
To develop the pension strategies and blended treasury/pension strategies for partner authorities.
To manage pension committee and local pension board agendas, prepare and present reports to board members to make sure they receive sufficient information on all aspects of the pension schemes activities
To work effectively with committees, boards, advisers actuaries external bodies and colleagues
To monitor the allocation of pension schemes investments to ensure they comply with the statutory requirements
To make a major contribution to the risk management of te pension schemes.

The successful candidate will be CCAB qualified accountant or have extensive experience in LGPS finance at a senior level. They will need to have good knowledge of pension fund accounting and experience of managing and developing Pensions Fund strategies.

Previous experience within a local authority would be an advantage.
