Web / Cloud / Application Support Engineer - Banking
Salary: Circa 60-65k + benefits + bonus

A boutique global investment bank is looking to hire a Web / dotcom / Middleware / Application Support professional to manage and improve the web / dotcom / cloud and associated Linux platform for the bank.
This is a multidimensional role involving design, deployment and on going support (incident, problem & change) of a range of web and cloud products including Tomcat and Apache and other associated technologies including Red Hat, SFTP/FTPS, Nagios/Monitoring, Automation/Scripting, LDAP and Cloud Hosting. With relation to the cloud hosting infrastructure the environment includes a range of proprietary applications/tools across AKAMAI, GOMEZ, Adobe CQ, Jira and Confluence so there would be fantastic exposure and good challenges for the web/application engineer.
Ideal skills / experience:
- Good Tomcat and Apache skills (dispatcher & tools, eg Jira & Confluence)
- Good underlying Linux/Unix administration and any associated skills including monitoring/Nagios and authentication/LDAP
- Automation and scripting ability with the likes of Bash would be highly desirable.
Whilst there are the core Web / Application based technical requirements for the role, equally as important is finding a candidate who is highly personable as the team and company are not likely many banks, they are very sociable and employees build strong relationships across business and technology teams globally.
