Leading off-highway manufacturer in Wrexham are looking to recruit a Principal Structural Engineer/Applications Manager to work on their transmission and driveline projects.

Your role as Principal Structural Engineer/Applications Manager in Wrexham will see you working in the Engineering team will see you reporting to the Chief Engineer, key responsibilities will include:

•Signing off driveline structures for submitted application load cases.

•Managing the application process for new and existing driveline components.

•Running multibody non-linear FEA analysis

•Establishing load cases for new and existing applications.

•Managing the TR process for JCB and competitor driveline components.

•Writing reports to support NPIP and internal and external applications.

•Liaising with customers both internal and external and with group engineering functions.

Successful candidates will have:

•Degree/HNC in Mechanical Engineering

•5 Years + experience of using FEA to solve engineering problems

•An in depth fundamental understanding of structures and material performance including fatigue.

•Substantial experience of either ANSYS or NX-Nastran

•Off Highway or heavy duty powertrain experience preferred. Related industries using a diverse material mix will be considered. A working knowledge of rotating machines would also be desirable.

•The ability to plan and organise work schedules to meet deadlines

•Good spoken and written communication skills with ability to engage effectively with personnel at all levels of authority

•Flexible and resilient with an ability to manage risks and development issues during the various stages of projects
