Pension Management Assistant- Salary c£16,000 - £18,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

Based: Cheltenham

Our client, a partner-led business which prides itself in providing straight forward and well communicated pension advice are searching for an experienced Pension Management Assistant to join their well-established service company. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing client invoice approval processes and budget monitoring
  • Setting up meeting schedules for trustee meetings
  • Preparing and issuing papers for trustee meetings
  • Taking minutes at trustee meetings and preparing a draft set of minutes
  • Dealing with trustee meeting action points as required
  • Managing team diaries
  • Liaising with clients as necessary
  • Support process reviews on an ad-hoc basis and monitor progress/roll out as required
  • Support in the roll out of standard governance materials and best practice processes
  • Making recommendations for trustee discretionary payments
  • Any other reasonable task as advised from time-to-time
  • Support, Implement and Maintain Information Security procedures and activities in accordance to Information Security Policy

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above is essential
  • CPA or progress with other relevant PMI qualifications would be an advantage
  • A willingness to make progress towards a professional qualification would be a benefit
  • Experience in the role is more desirable than other academic achievement
  • Ability to work hard with the right attitude towards continuous development of skill and knowledge
  • Build strong and effective client and team working relationships
  • Demonstrative effective problem solving skills. Identify key issues, solve and problems
  • Attention to detail, check work thoroughly and conscientiously
  • Develop communication skills verbally and in writing to address/explain more complex situations
  • Organise and prioritise your work effectively and take personal responsibility
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Computer literate and a strong understanding of Microsoft Office programmes, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook.
