Are you a teacher of Science looking for an exciting opportunity to work in East London in a thriving, dynamic and friendly secondary school that has a very good reputation in the local area? The school is looking to employ an enthusiastic and highly motivated Science teacher who is able to deliver their subject with a passion at KS3 and 4 and be part of their excellent Science Department.

The school in recent years has been transformed, teaching takes place in modern well equipped classrooms and teachers work hard to maintain the schools reputation in the local area. The curriculum allows students of all abilities to thrive and achieve their full potential and progress levels are amongst the best in the borough. Staff at the school provide continued support to all students and with the support of an established senior leadership team have seen results dramatically improvement in recent years.

The Science department is a well-respected department and teachers have a wealth of experience. You will be under the direction of the Head of Science and responsible for teaching KS3 as well as GCSE General Science. At GCSE classes are taught in separate subjects so a specialism is either Biology, Chemistry or Physics is essential. The department is very well resourced and a dedicated team of technicians allow for all lessons to be interactive as well as engaging for all. Developments in the curriculum have allowed teachers to progress students and provide lessons that stimulate and excite. Teachers have access to and are able to use ICT suites to deliver interactive multimedia lessons and students are able to use these facilities to complete work in and out of lesson time.

The Head of Science is now looking for a teacher of Science to join the team. The successful teacher must have experience of teaching General Science to KS3 and 4, the ability to teach at KS5 would be desirable but not essential. The school is looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated teacher who has experience of delivering outstanding lessons and a record of developing student achievement. This role would suit an experienced teacher of an NQT looking for their first teaching position.

For all staff an extensive CPD programme is offered, NQTs will be supported throughout their induction year and training is offered weekly to ensure successful completion and rapid progression into their teaching career.

• Have relevant specialist qualifications and experience in a science specialism with the ability to teach at all Key Stages and all abilities
