The Principles for Responsible Investment is a global investor initiative advancing responsible investment (RI) in partnership with UNEP Finance Initiative and the UN Global Compact. The PRI is based on a set of voluntary best practice principles to assist investors in integrating environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues into investment processes and ownership practices. The initiative is supported by a 80-person London-headquartered Executive that promotes the Principles and provides support to signatories. The Digital Marketing Manager will be an integral member of the PRI’s dynamic and growing Communications team, optimising the effectiveness of the PRI’s digital platforms in promoting the work of the PRI and its signatories to a diverse group of stakeholders, including: existing and potential signatories, academics, our UN partners, policy makers, and the media.
The ideal candidate will be immersed in and driven by all things digital, and be constantly up-to-date with digital trends and technologies. They will generate ideas on how the PRI’s digital products can better attract and serve our key audiences, and enjoy working collaboratively with editorial and design experts within the team to collectively drive the PRI’s digital success.
The Communications team is a shared service within the PRI, providing organisation-wide communications support, advice and guidance in line with the organisation’s mission, its long-term strategy to achieve this and its immediate work programme of activities. 2
¦ Drive traffic to, between and around PRI content platforms; determine success criteria and evaluate results accordingly
¦ Optimise the PRI’s suite of email communications based on user behaviour analysis and email marketing best practices
¦ Analyse effectiveness of the PRI’s social media accounts as a means to engage with audiences and to drive them to core platforms such as the PRI website
¦ Contribute feedback to the design and structure of the PRI website, based on user behaviour analysis and SEO principles
¦ Develop digital content marketing strategy
¦ Identify opportunities for new digital content promoting the PRI’s work, such as topical blog posts and social media-friendly infographics
¦ Identify existing content from the PRI’s library that would benefit from being digitised, such as web- or social media-friendly excerpts from feature-length reports
¦ Conduct systematic analytics work across the PRI’s digital platforms: tracking, analysing and reporting user data
¦ Mining and modelling data from web products, email channels, social media and the CRM database
¦ Profiling and segmenting the user base to enable and enhance targeted outreach
¦ Reporting user behaviour internally to build awareness across the organisation of user needs
¦ Create and maintain website content to ensure that the PRI’s website is an engaging and up-to-date reflection of the PRI’s activities
COMPETENCIES, KNOWLDGE AND EXPERIENCE
¦ Demonstrated experience of analysing and exploiting user data across multiple digital platforms in a competitive (ideally B2B) environment
¦ Email marketing expertise, including experience targeting email campaigns to a professional international audience with diverse interests
¦ Knowledge of core and emerging SEO principles
¦ Familiarity with major analytics tools such as Google Analytics for the web, equivalents for key social media platforms and CRM systems such as Salesforce
¦ Comfortable working with web applications such as content management systems and email marketing platforms
¦ Basic understanding of the investment industry or wider financial industry, such as awareness of the key groups and relationships in the investment chain.
