Description

Due to expansion, we are on the hunt for a brand new Business Development Manager to join a well-known, respected and successful IT Company based in Bath. You'll enjoy working within the successful IT and sales team as and you’ll be the business development manager within the company, which offers you fast career progression to build a sales team beneath you. What you’ll be doing

This new role is about creating interest in the products/services and you will be responsible for acquiring new clients / business in assigned sectors / markets and meeting allocated income and other assigned financial targets. You will be in charge of maintaining a deep understanding of allocated sectors and markets and ensuring this knowledge is documented and communicated internally. You will be proactively supporting the transition of new clients to the delivery and client success function during the first 6 - 9 months post sale. You will also be building and maintain appropriate C level, director level and operational level relationships within target clients

What experience you’ll need

You will need to have a proven track record and ability to achieve allocated sales target over at least 5 years if this has been gained within the IT/Technology sector the entire better, however most important are exceptional business development and account managing skills. You will have the sufficient technical ability to require low levels of technical support (outside of presales) during the sales process and to develop the trust of technical managers. You’ll also need to have strong communication skills with the confidence to connect with all levels of management. Experience using sales methodologies and tools to accelerate sales processes are desirable. The right candidate will need to have the ability to work well within a team as well as individually and finally a strong passion for IT.
