Description

This Multi-Channel retailer is a regular member of the IRUK Top 500 report, making an appearance this year in the leading category. They have a new opportunity due to the growth of their eCommerce function as a Web Merchandising Manager, driving best practice across merchandising, trading and optimisation of their sites.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting into the Senior Trading Manager, you’ll be working with a team of Online Trading Managers to own trading and merchandising for a number of sites across the group. Being a “group” role, rather than for a specific eCommerce site, this is a large operation getting involved in a number of areas, so would likely suit a Web Trader or Senior Online Merchandiser looking for a step up.

Your role will look after a team of Merchandisers who have ownership of particular categories, so it’s about putting a strategy in place that maintains consistency across this large eCommerce operation, whilst optimising the full customer experience. Working closely with the analytics team you’ll use customer insight to fuel this strategy, ensuring changes drive a positive ROI.

What experience you’ll need

You will have ideally crafted your skills in a medium to large eCommerce environment, working in the Online Trading or Merchandising team. Being a more senior role you’ll be familiar with setting team strategy, managing people and using a range of optimisation tools (akin to Google Analytics and Fredhopper). With the team focus in this role you’ll enjoy forming strong working relationships and bringing the best out of your team.

What you’ll get in return for your talents

There is a salary of up to £45k on offer for this one depending on experience. Benefits include a generous pension scheme, 28 day’s holiday (plus bank holidays), childcare vouchers and a share incentive scheme. Further details are available if you’re keen to learn more.
